Our Italian adventure began with a flight into Milan before heading to the beautiful shores of Lake Garda. There, students enjoyed their first taste of authentic Italian pizza, explored the lakeside, and a brave few even took a refreshing dip in the water.

From Lake Garda, we travelled on to Venice and checked into the first of our three hotels. The following day, a vaporetto carried us into the heart of the city where we explored the famous canals, bridges, and historic landmarks. By this point, our step counters were already working overtime!

The tour continued with a stop in Pisa for the obligatory leaning tower photos, accompanied by more pizza and gelato. We then arrived in breathtaking Florence, where stunning architecture, fascinating history, and yet more walking awaited us.

Finally, we reached Rome, exploring the sights of the Eternal City before ending our journey with a visit to Vatican City. Seeing St Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums was a fitting finale to an unforgettable trip.

Over the course of the week, we averaged an impressive 16,000 steps (around 14km) each day, and somehow still couldn’t wear the students out! A fantastic time was had by all, with wonderful memories made, plenty of culture absorbed, and perhaps just a little too much pizza consumed!
