Early Years Foundation Stage

The Early Years Foundation Stage at The British College is the perfect choice for giving your child the very best start in their learning, development and growth.

Early Years The British College of BenalmádenaWe are able to care for, nurture and educate your child from the age of one.

We have beautiful, fully equipped Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception classrooms, as well as spacious outdoor learning areas.

We follow the British “Early Years Foundation Stage” National Curriculum, which allows the children to grow, learn and thrive. Through supporting and teaching the children in their formative early years in small groups and individually, they will be ready for the challenges of the Primary school when they are four years old.

We love music at The British College and offer regular involvement in group music sessions to support the development of social skills, such as taking turns and co-operation. We provide daily opportunities for a rich and varied music experience, helping the children to build their confidence and encouraging their self-expression.

Our Foundation Stage classes are led by caring, dedicated and well qualified teachers, the majority of whom have been part of The British College for many years.

We are proud to say that most of our children who join us in the first years of their education, stay with us until they complete Primary and Secondary school.

Forming close, positive relationships with parents is a vital part of what we do. You will be kept fully updated as to your child’s progress.  You are welcome to talk to our teachers every day, and you will also have interactive digital communication through an online learning platform. We also use a daily communication diary, as well as regular emailed updates and termly reports. You can also access live images of the classrooms via our secure webcams.
