Save the Children, was a great success!

The Run to raise funds for Save the Children, on Friday, 19^th November, was a great success!

All the students took part in the run with great enthusiasm and such incredible effort.  Years 8 and 9 ran the following Friday, because due to the bad weather the classes that should have ran during the afternoon of the 19^th couldn't do it.  Up till now we have raised 1,814 euros which shows that the students have participated with enormous interest.

The following students deserve a special mention:

Daisy Pollock, year 3R, who raised 105 euros

Guillermo Fernández Jiménez, Year 7, who raised 101 euros

Yasmin Essghyar Gray, Year 6R, who raised 90 euros

Janice Bax, Year 6G, who raised 80 euros and

Antonio Gruszczynski Pires, Year 5G who raised 70 euros

We have contacted Save the Children and asked them, as on previous occasions, if some of their representatives could come to the school to collect the money and give an informative talk to the children about the work they are carrying out in the third world countries.

It is very important that our students realise that, unfortunately, not all the children in the world are as lucky as they are, but on the contrary, in fact, they lack almost everything that is essential.
