The 16^th and the 23^rd of March, students from Years 4 to 11 represented the The British College in the Schools Athletics Days, organized by the 'Patronato Municipal de Deportes', from the Benalmádena Town Hall.  Many of our participants are to be commended for reaching the finals in a great number of different categories, with the following students achieving medals:

 

Years 2 & 3

• Paula Galán Year 2; 2nd place in shot put
• Fernando Hernández Year 3; 3rd place javelin
• Nadia Cillóniz Year2; Year 2; 3rd place long jump

Year 5

• Mario Arrollo Year 5; 2nd place long jump
• Antonio Luzón: Year 5; 2nd place in shot put

Years 6 & 7

• Janice Bax: Year 6; 2nd place in shot put
• Carmen Cámara: Year 7; 3rd place in speed race
• Pilar Arenas : Year 7;  3rd place in long distance running

Year 8

• Eleder Pérez: Year 8;  2nd place javelin

Year 11

• Francisco Nieto: Year 11;  2nd in long distance running

As teachers we have felt really proud to accompany the students as they have shown a high level of personal strength, support for each other, fair play and excellent behaviour.
